Call to Order: 
President Reynold Wolfe called the meeting to order at 7:20 pm

Present:

Review of Previous Meeting Minutes:
After a review of the previous month’s meeting minutes Ren declared the minute’s approved motion made by Dean and second by Ed.

Financial Report and Payment of Listed Bills:
Dean Williard presented financial statements for review by the Authority. There is a balance in the PLIGIT account of $521.34 and the balance in the general account of $26,905.44.   After the review of the bills to be paid tonight and the addition of payments to Rick Wolfe Sr for $200.00, Wolfe Realty for $47.04 a motion was made by Dean and 2nd by Jackson to proceed with paying the bills as listed and the add-ons. 

Communications: RUS called and wanted to know what the extent of damage there was due to the flooding at the WWTP.  Ren is going to respond to them.

Water System Operator:
Andy informed the Authority that he had his machine at the Reservoir and excavated the flow pipe.  LB water was engaged and a tape was made for the frost free connection.   Andy also informed the Authority that there were more problems at PS 2.  Dennis Zept from Mid Atlantic told Andy to replace the cutters which Andy done today.  Andy also informed the Authority that he had Neidig’s in to clean out the wet well.  Andy is going to get Koppy’s propane in to fill the propane tanks.  Andy also informed the Authority that when he goes to replace the fire hydrant he is going to have to shut the water off.  When this is done it is going to affect the Herndon House and some residences.  He is going to notify the business and the residence when he is going to shut off the water. 



Solicitors Report: 
Tony informed the Authority that he responded to Deb Rosancrans Better Business letter.  Myers needs all the specifics on the pump failures.  Tony is going to forward this information onto Ren so that he (Ren) and Andy can get everything together that needs to be done.  Tony informed the Authority that there was still no response from Mid Atlantic pumps.  Tony suggested that by the November meeting that a decision be made as to whether or not we are going to pursue the law suit against Myers and Mid Atlantic. 

Old Business:
Ren and Dean are going to be meeting on October 1, 2011 to go over delinquents.    The 4 log analyzer is still pending.  A motion was made that since the insurance money was received for the fire hydrant damage that it is ok to precede with the fixes.  Motion was made by Ren and 2nd was by Jackson.  Ren is going to call EMC in regards to the damage that was caused by the lightening strike.

Andy is going to check with Todd Mace of PA environmental solutions in regards to the mapping and chemical as Andy thinks he has this completed. 

New Business: 
Ren presented photos of the damage that was done by “The Flood of 2011” he also presented a letter that was sent to LDG in regards to the damage.  Ren also informed the Authority that there was also storm damage at the well site.  Ferster Excavating will need to engage to make the repairs.  Donald Ferster has been contacted.  Ren also informed the Authority that he had Rick Wolfe Sr make repairs at the WWTP driveway and do some cleanup.  Ren also said that there is stone that needs to be replaced on the walkway to the out flow and he suggests Tim Schrader, the out flow area also needs to be cleaned up as well and Tim Schrader will be engaged to do this.  Ren also presented the final cost report for the fence project.  The Authority did not have any out of the pocket expenses. We were able to return $32913.91 to NCPC.

Adjournment:  There being no further business, the public meeting held at the Herndon Borough Municipal Building adjourned at 8:25 pm
